Le Sommeil is a body music ensemble that creates unconventional performances combining baroque music, visuals, and architecture. Founded in 2020, the ensemble brings together musicians from across Europe and beyond.
Their performances transform spaces into immersive experiences, blurring the boundaries between concert, theatre, and installation art.

Margarita Slepakova is a baroque violinist and co-founder of Le Sommeil. Born in Russia and trained across Europe, she brings a distinctive interpretive voice to the ensemble's work.
Her research into gesture and embodied music-making has shaped the ensemble's approach to performance.
Le Sommeil collaborates with visual artists, architects, lighting designers, and choreographers to create their unique performance experiences.
Partners include Narodowe Forum Muzyki, Pentatone Records, and various European cultural institutions.
